Arrival in Venice
• By aeroplane
Marco Polo airport at Tessera, 12 km north of Venice, is linked with the city by water or by land.
• By train
The 'Santa Lucia' train station is on the n-w limits of
Venice at the mouth of the Grand Canal. The walking distance from the station to the centre (St. Mark's Square) is 40 minutes. • By car or bus
At the end of the road-bridge connecting Venice with the
mainland (Mestre) you will find 'Tronchetto' island, a huge parking area for cars and busses, and Piazzale Roma, the Venice bus and car terminal, only a few minutes away from the train station.

Moving around
• Transport within the city
Moving around in Venice is possible only on foot or by boat. Private transport is done by small water taxies and bigger private motorboats (GT boats). To avoid problems upon arrival, due to the peculiar layout of the city, we adapt every transfer depending on size, hotel location, and keeping in mind tide levels, permits to enter certain areas, etc.
Main pick-up point for transfers and excursions are Piazzale Roma, St.Lucia Station, St.Mark’s area and Rialto
